A Moment in Time CE400269 /30
A beautiful sunset and a lingering twilight enabled me to find my subject for this picture. A low angle from the water's edge makes the most of the gorgeous reflective lagoon surface and gives depth to the floating ice sculptures. An amazing place, very inspiring and so surreal.
This ice has come loose from the nearby Vatnajokull glacier, the largest glacier in Europe (visible in the distance). The ice stays in the lagoon before it continues it's journey to the nearby Black Beach.
Location: Jokulsarlon Lagoon, South Iceland
