Chesil Bank

Chesil Bank

Chesil Beach or Chesil Bank is a massive bank of pebbles 18 miles (29 kilometres) long approximately 180 metres wide and 15 metres high. It stretches north-west from Portland to West Bay and for much of its length it is separated from the mainland by an area of saline water called the Fleet Lagoon which is a nature reserve.
The beach is part of the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dorset, England UK
