There was very little cloud to obscure the sun as it set, so I had to exposure carefully and release the shutter when the sun's flare disappeared for a brief moment. I composed this photograph to allow the eye to zig-zag through the scene from the foreground rocks, across the sunlit wet sand, over to the left edge of the frame on the middle distance rocks and across the land mass on the horizon to end on Taransay on the right of the image.
